EASTER Clean Up in Church on 24th March

We would appreciate very much if you could volunteer on Saturday 24th March at 2 pm for an hour or so to make our beautiful church as clean as we can for Easter.

If you could bring your own hoover/extension lead, if possible, that would be great.

We will have a cup of tea afterwards.

Many hands make light work.

Trócaire Romero Family Award

Óscar Romero was Archbishop of San Salvador. He was assassinated in 1980 as he was celebrating Mass. Thirty five years later he was declared a martyr of the Church and was beatified in 2015. He was a great defender of the poor and a harsh critic of injustice. This initiative by Trocaire links in with World Meeting of the Families and is geared to keeping the life and good works of Blessed Óscar Romero alive in our world.

Who is this award for?

This award will provide you and your family with an avenue to learn about the lives of other families around the world where Trócaire works. You will learn about their daily lives, the issues that they face and share in their hopes and dreams for the future.

The 'Trócaire Romero Family Award' aims to compliment the 'Amoris' preparation programme for the World Meeting of Families.

Each participating family will receive a certificate and a solidarity gift from a country where Trócaire works. They will also be invited to an awards ceremony that coincides with the celebrations at the World Meeting of Families gathering in Dublin next August 2018, as well as being entered into a draw to win an eco-friendly 'Green Family trip' to the Slieve Aughty Centre, Co. Galway.

What is a Family?

"There is no stereotype of the ideal family, but rather a challenging mosaic made up of many different realities, with all their joys, hopes and problems." (Pope Francis)

Parish Newsletter

FAO Parishioners, Business Owners, Professionals and Self Employed

New newsletter format and opportunity for advertisement.

Following a decision by the PPC and other concerned parties it has been decided to produce our monthly newsletter, which is delivered to homes in the parish, in a new updated and colour format.  Liturgical Publications of Ireland (LPi) will be our new Newsletter publisher.  They will send Christine Daly, their Newsletter representative to visit our Church within the next few weeks in connection with the advertising element of the newsletter.

For those interested in placing an ad, this is your opportunity.

Our Newsletter is the primary way we use to communicate with our parishioners.  Through our arrangement with LPi the Church does not have to pay for the newsletter printing, which saves us money.   Our new Newsletter will be supported through the generosity of the advertisers—many of whom may be our own Church parishioners or members of our local community.

A strong and vibrant Newsletter is good for our community and a strong business community is good for our Church.

To obtain information about advertising for the new publication year, please call Christine Daly directly at (086) 813 7924 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Keep in mind; our advertising sponsors will make the Newsletter possible.
