Papal Visit

Our pilgrims led by Fr Frank on the Parish Bus returned from the Phoenix Park safe and sound. We  were uplifted after a wonderful day in the Phoenix Park when Pope Francis celebrated Mass. Despite the walk, rain, squally showers we came home glad to have partaken in this historic Mass and to be part of the Glasnevin grouping.  Photographs of the World Meeting of the Families and our own Ethiopian initiative will be organised and put up on the website.  Here are just  some photos of that lovely morning when Pope Francis drove by our Church.

We were also very proud of all our parishioners who helped out in any way with the World Meeting of the Families and of course of our Gospel Choir who sang at the celebration for newly married couples in the Pro Cathedral. Many parishioners watched the Papal Mass in Glasnevin Church and were delighted with the hospitality and welcome they received there.  Also we know that many of you who were not able to go to Croke Park or the Phoenix Park watched coverage of the Papal Visit on television.
