Gospel Choir





The OLV Gospel Choir was formed in September 2007, under the direction of Kevin Kelly. Kevin previously founded the Gardiner Street Gospel Choir. Since its formation, the OLV Gospel Choir has grown and gone from strength to strength. In May 2009, the OLV Gospel Choir entered their first national Gospel choir competition, as part of the AIMS Choral Festival in New Ross. They won 2nd prize! The OLV Gospel Choir won 1st prize in the Gospel Choir category at the AIMS Choral Festival in New Ross on Sunday the 23rd of May 2010. Read more about their competition win by clicking here. In September 2010, Ciaran Coll became the new Gospel Choir Director replacing Kevin Kelly.

The choir has two keyboard players, a guitarist, a bass guitarist, a drummer, a percussionist and many singers.  Each week, the choir brings a great spirit of joy and life to the Mass through their presence.



Their repertoire includes Wade in the Water, Lovely Day, Something Inside So Strong, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Amazing Grace, When You Believe, One Love, I Can't Wait to Meet You, Put a Little Love in Your Heart, Down in the River to Pray, My Love is Your Love, All You Need is Love, I've Got Questions for You Lord, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, Man In the Mirror, You've Gotta Have Faith, What Marvels the Lord has Worked for Us, I Will Walk in the Presence of the Lord, Oh Lord Fill Us with Your Love and classic Gospel songs such as: Oh Happy Day, Shackles and Joyful Joyful. The choir sings the Psalm, the Alleluia and the Holy Holy at Mass.

Our Lady of Victories Conference

On request we visit parishioners and Ballymun residents. We provide advice, counselling, a sympathetic ear and financial assistance to those in need of help. Conference meets Wednesdays 7.30 – 9.30p.m.

St. Joseph's Young Priests Society

Supports vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life. Monthly collections for financial needs of Students. Exposition of The Blessed Sacrament 10.00 – 12.00 noon every Saturday.  Meetings second  Friday of the month after the 10am Mass.
