Recently deceased: We remember Kathleen Leonard and Patricia McCarthy whose funeral masses took place during the week.
May they rest in peace and may their family and friends find comfort at this time.
8th February was International Day of Prayer against Human Trafficking
Pope Francis spoke about the World Day of Prayer against Human Trafficking in 2015 during the Angelus on 8 February, stating: “I encourage those who work helping the men, women and children who are enslaved, exploited, abused as instruments of work or pleasure, who are often tortured and mutilated. It is my hope that government leaders may work decisively to remove the causes of this disgraceful scourge; it is a scourge unworthy of society. May each one of us feel committed to being a voice for our brothers and sisters, who have been humiliated in their dignity.”
Irish Confirmations next week
We look forward to welcoming na cailíní agus na buachaillí from our local Gaelscoileanna to the Church on Thursday 13th February at 11am for the Sacrament of CONFIRMATION.

The Annual Collection of ACCORD Dublin: The Diocesan Agency for Marriage and the Family, will be taken up at all Masses next weekend 16 February. The Collection for ACCORD will replace the usual Share Collection. ACCORD Dublin offers Marriage Preparation courses, counselling for couples and individuals experiencing difficulties in their relationships and a Relationship and Sexuality Programme for schools. ACCORD Dublin needs your support so please give generously if you can.
Can you help please?
It’s a new year and time to put those new year resolutions into action. We are still short of helpers for the tea after Sunday 10 Mass. Would you like to be part of this hospitality team please? The more volunteers the better and the easier the commitment as it works on a rota system. Please call into sacristy or ring Marie at (01) 842 0346. (Thanks to volunteers who came forward last week to help with the Sunday Tea after 10am Mass and our Gospel Choir Mass at 6pm.)

We have also been asked by our local St Vincent de Paul Conference to request volunteers for their conference which meets on Wednesdays. If you are interested in this very important work please call Joe Delaney of St Vincent de Paul at (085) 711 2414.
Sign of Peace: Due to the number of colds and flu around, we would kindly remind our parishioners that during the sign of peace it is fine to simply smile, wave, or bow to convey the message of peace.
We would kindly remind our Ministers of the Word that the Sunday missalette may be collected in advance. They are stored in the press in the corridor. Also the first and second readings may be checked online at universalis.com
